British Values and SMSC
British Values at Hill View Infant Academy
Our school curriculum is enquiry led and responds to the needs, interests and demands of the New National Curriculum 2014.
With this in mind, we offer a broad range of curriculum enhancements across the year. Long Term themes in school incorporate SMSC and British School Values. (see right)
As a school we have a duty to "‘actively promote’ the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs."
At Hill View Infant Academy we teach British Values through half termly themes that link to our school SMSC themes.These are differentiated according to the age and ability of the child and show progress across school. Click the link to the right to view this document.
