  Thank you to all year 1 families who attended our Fairtrade event this afternoon. We hope to have raised a lot of money.
• Birds of Prey
  The school community were amazed by the most beautiful bird display yesterday in our school field. The children were ecstatic!
• Reception children at Foundation of Light
  Reception children are having a fabulous time at the FOL to showcase their amazing football skills. They were chosen to represent the hard work that the FOL of light can do in schools.
• Learning through Play
  We are passionate about outdoor learning and value the importance of a play based approach to learning.
• Places in nursery
  We are at the point of inviting new families into nursery and still have some availability for children aged 3 years by 1st September 2018. If you are aware of anyone who has forgotten to register, please remind them.
• Special Visitors in school
  On Wednesday 18th April, a team from Sunderland People First came in to HVI and spent the afternoon working on a special project about celebrating difference with our Anti Bullying Crew.
• 100% Attendance - 2 terms
  An extra special assembly took place on Monday to celebrate a whopping 66 children who have achieved 100% attendance over autumn and spring terms.
• Southmoor Young Champions
  Year 1 children had a special visit from the young champions at Southmoor Academy on Wednesday. They talked to our children about anti-bullying and how to stop a bully.
